I was raised in the warm Sun of the San Joaquin Valley in California as a migrant farmworker. I'm a firm believer that hard work breeds character. Attended the College of the Sequoias in Visalia and San Jose State University in San Jose.

I've worked for the Visalia Times-Delta, Gannett newspaper, The Fresno Bee, McClatchy newspaper, The Denver Post, MediaNews newspaper and currently work for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

As an artist/graphic designer, I'm responsible to create visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate readers. And would develop the overall layout and production design for various applications such as for news print or online.

Through the use of images, text, and color, I can transform statistical data into visual graphics and diagrams, which can make complex ideas more accessible.
